To all those cutting military by huge percentages, what are your plans to deal with the millions of unemployed that would produce?
Where my budget is concerned, since I am not only cutting but also investing in forward looking projects/industries and also increasing student funding support, military personnel retired from active duty could find employment in the new jobs that would be created that way or go get higher education through the GI bill which now has more fund available along with hopefully reduced tuitions thanks to my investment in education. As for the defense contractors, part of their business would be salvaged through my increased investment in NASA where propulsion technology is concerned, also a rump business of supplying a reduced military would remain, I also continue to invest moneys into nuclear technology as I do believe in the nuclear deterrent. They also would have new markets with my spending increase in domestic security. That wouldn't cover all of it, not by far actually but then business models need to evolve in a free market if they want to survive. And if Israel et al. can't afford to take care of their own ****, well too bad. If people get laid of in the defense industry, well again, I am investing in forward looking projects that should in the short to mid terms create a new job boom.
My budget fixes the deficit not through across the board cutting but through fixing the income base of government by bringing taxes for the extremely wealthy back to appropriate levels and cutting subsidies for industries and countries that don't need it and/or don't deserve it.

A good photographer can take brilliant photographs with a disposible camera, a bad photographer will still take rubbish photographs with a top end DSLR. :)
Why are you comparing the users? A good comparison would be the same user (good or bad) using different cameras/mobiles to take photographs.

Wow, this is great news, I'm impressed - I never saw a 24" iMac in the cards!
And, since it's Merom, this makes the likelihood of seeing a Conroe minitower even better - after all, Apple has to stick the Conroe chip in something, right? ;) :D As it stands now, since Merom is technically the "mobile chip", Apple has 5 mobile solutions (2 mobile MB/MBPs, 3 not-so-mobile iMacs) and a workstation solution (Mac Pro), so where is the desktop solution? :p :cool:

It all depends what you want to do in Vegas. If you're wanting to go to restaurants, shows, and/or spa then $1500 is plenty for a few nights of that and you'll have some left over for quarter VP/slots. If you're wanting to go to the club and buy 4 bottles every night...then $1500 isn't going to get you very far.

I don't think Apple changed their assembly line until week 35. If the serial number of your Mac is less than WH8635, then I don't think it has the new heatsink.

@SVD thanks. I wasnt too keen on some of my earlier stuff either. I knew how I wanted to express myself but didn't know my camera well enough to. It's good to know my stuff is appreciated, thanks for the compliment. I only have the xs, 24-70L, and the speedlight. I do have studio strobes and backdrops and stuff but thats it.

Just my luck I was gona take my macbook in for RSD tomorrow to get the heatsink replaced and now they come out with this fix. There is defiantly something wrong with the hardware though(i believe the heatsink has burned through some of the wires) besides the random shutdown when my system is at idle my fans will kick in suddenly at full speed then run for about a minute that fast or sometimes cut out completely then start up again. Something that it never did before rsd developed.
I bet if i take it in tomorrow they will just tell me to apply this update which does nothing to solve the damage that has already been done to my macbook. My guess this is a fix apple has done to get them out of the 1 year warranty period were the macbook will then develop further hardware problems. Then you will have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed unless you buy apple care. Also this temporary patch helps them sell more apple care subscriptions.
All i can say is i better not have hardware issues after my year is up or I'm done with apple :(

I'm glad it is cheaper, although nothing has been said about the other apps such as STP and Motion, or even Color. As others have said, just because amateurs can afford the software, it doesn't mean that they can use it well.

Strange, because everyone said that Apple would release the MB and MBPs on the 12th, but not all of a sudden it shifted to the iMac :confused:
iMacs are overdue. Sure if they can put the C2D in the MBPs great, but the iMacs got the G5 when the PBs only had the G4, so moving to a C2D should not be held back now its out.
